Exactly. And that includes thousands of federal civilian workers deployed into combat zones. Just as I was last year in Afghanistan for eight months.

Boy, I’d like to know who are the people that are taking home 80,000 a year in pesion benifits (plus health care?. I’ve been working for the military for years and spent 23 years in the military itelf. Our pension isn’t even close to that. Try maybe half. The health care is also basic health with high deductables, no vision, no dental. I don’t knwo where they come up with these figures but the typical joe doesn’t ever see that.

My daughter, also a Federal Employee, has already been on two deployments to Afghanistan. It’s not all standing around at an embassy reception, drinking champagne.
