“What do you think happens in the House of Representatives?”
We know what happens — the male pages get molested.

FUBF. BTW, the coed shower scenes from “Starship Troopers” were the only good parts of those movies.

When Frank is quoted saying “what a silly issue”, he really said “what a thilly ithue.”
To: Sub-Driver
Seriously, when was the last time anyone here showered with another soldier besides bootcamp?

The truth of the matter is, there is no explanation that makes sense why men and women should not shower together or even sleep in the same room, if homosexuals shower together and sleep in the same room, unless you can somehow make the case that homosexuals are somehow different than heterosexuals when it comes to sexual behavior. Do they want to make that case?

ârequiredâ to shower together??? So, like they're going to make it a âruleâ? I'll shower with whomever and whenever I like, Rep. Frank. I really don't think we need to make it a requirement, do we? Communal showers are provided it appears, and showers are somewhat mandatory, I presume, so just take the frigging shower when you need one and...seriously? ârequired????...and call it a day for the love of God.

Why the hell does a mere congressman have a say about details like this?

Its a bad question. I’d like to ask if congressmen share a two man tent together, do tick checks on one another, huddle together for warmth, etc.
The bottom line is - the military doesn’t need this distraction. I predict that a year from now, when the NYT tries to do its ‘A Year After the Repeal’ story, they will be hard pressed to find half a dozen soldiers serving as openly gay.
Gay people don’t want to serve openly in the military. Gay people, who aren’t presently in the military, think its a great idea for others to serve openly...but they would never do it themselves.

I think he has shower facilities confused with "bath houses".
It is "discrimination" if heterosexuals are not allowed to shower with THEIR sex partners, in light of the sex deviates' priveledge, isn't it? This amounts to "preferential treatment" for a certain group, while the other group doesn't have the same "benefit".

Why the hell does a mere congressman have a say about details like this? Well, since the law overturning DADT just passed both houses of Congress, I'd say "a lot! It's now the law!"
