Is Lindsey Graham About to Get Outed?
Gawker ^ | 12/21/10 | Jim Newell

Posted on 12/21/2010 3:29:35 PM PST by jimbo123

Gay rights activist Mike Rogers, the professional outer of closeted, hypocritical gay politicians, claims to have "pictures of a man who spent the night" with Sen. Lindsey Graham. He's supposedly meeting with his lawyer today before releasing them.

Rogers' previous outings of Ex-Rep. Mark Foley, Ex-Sen. Larry Craig and Ex-RNC chair Ken Mehlman, among others, once earned him the completely arbitrary title of "most feared man on the Hill." He keeps a list, and there are still many names on it.

Lindsey Graham has been hounded by gay rumors since his first runs for Congress in the '90s.

"The funny thing is, if his votes were reliably conservative I wouldn’t care what he was."

Well, as I've said many a time: If I believed all those Mexicans (we hope!) streaming across the Border into the U.S. would vote conservative, I would personally place a welcome mat on the Rio Grande.

Post #75: That’s interesting. I had a friend who moved from Rochester, N.Y., to Charleston. He said that his first impression was that Southern men are effeminate—all of them, not just the homosexuals.

I don’t actually read anything from that article that looks bad. Can’t a Senator have any friends?

The other one who sets off my gaydar is Scott Brown. I’m guessing that he’s either bi or his wife is serving as a front.

Blackmail might explain his sudden rebirth as a Kennedy in the Senate.

#84 Well, then he moved to a pretty nice neighborhood in Charleston. That behavior crowd is especially prominent in Charleston and among the restoration crowd on and around the battery area. Naturally, a lot of those wanting to be mistaken for the cognoscenti tend to act the same way in hopes of being accepted.

I can't recall the name of the club, but there's a social group of note in Charleston that, unknown to most folks, is exclusive to such folks and their “spirited behavior”. You won't be asked to join unless you're very well heeled, either.

Regards

That last picture redeemed the entire post. The Vanity Fair cover... well, I’m glad I hadn’t eaten yet.

As a former resident of SC, I hope he does get outed and ousted from the Senate. He is a RINO weasel and needs to go!

When Graham was first running for Strom Thurmond’s old Senate seat in South Carolina back in 2002, the head of the state Democratic Party, Dick Harpootlian, caused a bit of a furor by saying that Graham was “light in the loafers.” IIRC I think he had to back off and apologize after the state GOP establishment and most of the state MFM blasted it as a cheap shot. Maybe ol’ Dick Hartpootlian was right after all.

You know, maybe I'm missing something, but my mother's family kind of turn the corner in SC - from Aiken down to Savannah and Hilton Head, and up the coast to Charleston (the hoity-toity branch of the family) . . . and I have NEVER heard of this.

I didn't attend a 'finishing school' myself, but I know lots of guys who did, and Little Miss Lindsey does NOT sound like them. Or they don't sound like him. Or something.

Daddy's half of the family is from Alabama, so maybe that's affecting my knowledge. Could you maybe name one of the schools? As far as bad reputation goes, College of Charleston is known in my kids' circles as a doper school, but that's about all I've heard.

I wouldn’t consider his education elite nor his background. My grandmother was from an old Charleston Huguenot family (my grandfather met her when he was at the Citadel) so I have spent lots of time in the city and surrounding area.

From Graham’s bio...Graham was born in Central, South Carolina, where his parents, Millie and Florence James Graham, ran a liquor store, the Sanitary Cafe. After graduating from D. W. Daniel High School, Graham became the first member of his family to attend college and joined the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. When he was 21 his mother died, and his father died 15 months later. Because his sister was left orphaned, the service allowed Graham to attend University of South Carolina in Columbia so he could be near home and care for his sister, whom he adopted. During his studies, he became a member of the fraternity Pi Kappa Phi.

Graham graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Psychology in 1977 and from the University of South Carolina School of Law with a J.D. in 1981. Upon graduating, Graham was sent to Europe as a military prosecutor, and eventually entered private practice as a lawyer.
