...administrators told him, "They said the candy canes are weapons because you can sharpen them with your mouth and stab people with them." He said neither he nor any of their friend did that.

Oh, well thank goodness they didn't think of sharpening them with a pencil sharpener ... like a good old #2 pencil... Yikes! Confiscate them all! And get that nerd over there with the stainless steel mechanical pencil too!

I'm sure if you cracked open enough dry-erase markers and dumped them in an inflated/sealed garbage can liner you could get enough volatiles to cause a small fuel-air explosion. Better go back to good old chalk boards. Oh, wait, dust explosions...

Let's see, they've already taken away the de-militarized rifles from the Junior ROTC, replacing them with cheap plastic knock-offs. Better take away the flag-poles/guide-ons, they could be sharpened into spears. Better pave all the parking lots, someone could spin their tires and fling gravel like buckshot. Better take the paint brushes away from the art department, they could be sharpened too.

Better issue all the students Kindles or some such. Textbooks are full of paper pages, which could be used to inflict paper cuts on fellow students.

How far do you think they'll take this madness?

Being a former teacher I can tell you that public school admin people are from the pit of hell. They are completely hostile to any conservatives, hate parents & want as much control over the kids as possible in order to program ‘em w/ liberal pc socialist drivel. The kids should poke ‘em in the eye w/ their pencils. These fools are dumb & dumber & couldn’t do a real job if they had to.

If you go to the Battlefield High School website you will see that the principal has posted a response to all of the attention this incident has received and tries to clarify her actions, emphasizing the safety issue.

I went to the site to get the school’s address so I can send a candy cane to these idiot administrators and wish them a Merry Christmas.

If anyone else would like to join me, the address is: Battlefield High School 15000 Graduation Drive Haymarket, VA 20169

I did the same thing a few years ago to the school that banned red and green tissue paper at its “Holiday” Shop where kids buy inexpensive presents for family members. I sent them sheets of red and green tissue paper.

Merry Christmas!

Read the comments at the article. There appear to be two versions of the story.
