But seriously folks, it is near incomprehensible that this religious leader is blaming the Jews for the fact that the Greeks have been demanding and getting a “free lunch” for many years. Now that the country is effectively bankrupt, this fellow wants to blame the Jews. Amazing.
That was (and I guess, still is) the modus operandi for Europe. The kings and queens of yore would spend and spend, then confiscate from their Jewish population to cover their excess spending... and then when there wasn’t enough money anymore, the Church would then whip up the peasants into a Jew-hating fury.
Then they’d confiscate all the Jews’ assets and kick them out of the country (if they were nice, otherwise they’d just kill them).
Greece looks to be acting true to form.
You sound as if you have bought the mainstream media line hook line and sinker.
The fact that a whole host of nations have a far more embedded govt bureaucracy and debt status than little Greece never crossed your mind? The factthat Greece is forced to absorb and take care of thousands upon thousands of migrants coming in through Turkey because of membership in the EU never crossed your mind?
You need to put on your thinking cap and get to the bottom of things and not just accept what people tell you.
