AP: Yeah, Obama Had a Thoroughly Miserable Year as President
NRO ^ | DECEMBER 22, 2010 | Jim Geraghty

Posted on 12/22/2010 8:52:46 PM PST by RobinMasters

President Obama ends this Congressional session by signing a tax deal, a Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell repeal, and probably the START treaty, but the Associated Press’ assessment of his past year is pretty brutal:

Barack Obama’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year got off to a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad start.

There he was, on New Year’s Day, on vacation with his family in Hawaii, stuck on a secure phone with counterterrorism officials, trying to figure out what screw-ups had allowed a would-be terrorist to board a Christmas Day flight with explosives in his underwear.

Things only got worse for Obama when he returned to Washington in between a pair of epic winter storms.

I resent that Obama is batting way above his talent level. Also batting way above his support level in the US voting public.

Republicans need to stop ALL of his agenda....every single item...next year and until he’s gone!

Don’t by this crap for a second that the MSM is actually going to bash Obama on his performance. Especially from Dem jock sniffers like AP.
They simply want to sell the same “rope a dope” story they did successfully for Clinton during his re-election push after the republican landslide congressional mid-terms. The MSM is in a bad mood after the republican a$$kicking a month ago, but getting Dear Reader re-elected is their ultimate longterm goal.

Just watch. Another year from now, they are going to paint Zero as the come back kid claiming all his B.S. is now turned to gold and deserves a 2nd term.

I fully agree. No phoney deals. The Republicans have to stop the onslaught but they also need to something else that is very important. Over the next two years some of the American people need to be instructed on the ills of what Obama has passed. Many Americans already get it based on polls but certainly not all of them that can be reached. It is not enough for Republicans to just say no - they need to explain clearly WHY this HAS to be stopped. The next two years present opportunities for teachable moments that can influence the voting public. The root cause of why Obama is in that office and we are in the shape we are in is due to the voting public.

Yes.

Unfortunately, the economy will improve in spite of Pres. Trainwreck. Be forewarned.

Seems only fitting, after all, America had a thoroughly miserable year with him as President, and he makes a thoroughly miserable President. Actually, I think "thoroughly miserable President" is about 3 orders of magnitude too kind for that ...

Yep, the AK COW appears to be about to be put in for another 6 years. Wonder which flag she will fly. Does not make much difference, she votes with the Dems.

Cornyn will never learn, but he is a RINO too. I just e-mailed him the table I posted. Told him he has a “little control problem”. Understatement.

We could sure live without the witches and Ded Kennedy (D-HELL) replacement, too.

The Boy Blunder has been on the T-Ball team since he started in politics. An Affirmative Action Man entirely coddled by the US press. Personally I would be embarrassed if my success was attributed to living in a failure proof caccoon. Biggest F@c%ing Coward to achieve this level of US politics.

In a certain sense, Obama’s had a stupendous year if you take into account the agenda of his handlers. Federal financial obligations are as large as quantities usually encountered in astronomy classes, the banks and doners were generously compensated, the military is being demoralized and stretched thin, our allies know we have a dope for a president, daily erosions of freedom in the name of an enemy we dare not name, cuban-style healthcare is just around the corner, the Mexican/US border is busy as ever with illegals and narco terrorism, and there’s no end to the economic downturn created largely by the government itself, If his goal was to wreck the US then he’s doing a bang-up job.
