I sort of agree with Sarah, that Homosexualuality is not one of my primary concerns. I disagree with the Homo agenda as will all gummint rule by decree. Havingg never served in the military, I can’t say about there but in the rest of the world, you pretty well know that there are homos and who they are. As a Christian, I agree it is condemed as are a lot of other sins in the OT, But Christ was more forgiving of sinners.

I agree. Despite the media hailing all these Obama wins, the truly huge battles were LOST by the Left. Omnibus defeated, Dream Act defeated, all tax increases allowed to occur, defeated. The wins by Obama while possibly infuriating to many (who likes to lose) do not compare in import to the losses).

DADT is nothing since the military will as it always has done in the past handle any problems brought on by this within the ranks. If gays believe this will allow them to carry on in the military as they do in public they will be in for a huge surprise. It will only take 1 or 2 midnight counselling sessions to convince them discretion is appropriate in their case. In the end they will still be relegated to hanging out with their own kind as before and in fact more so because now every soldier on base will know who’s gay and who’s straight.

The START treaty, if it turns out to be disadvantageous to us will be ignored as the Russians have ignored any treaty they found inconvenient. Besides the main point of disagreement was whether there is a difference between offensive weapon development and defensive weapon development. To this Obama has stated in writing to the Congress that there IS a difference and we will be able to continue R&D on defensive weapons.

I agree with your general statement here, but let's face it -- I don't think DADT was terribly effective in the first place.

I offer that little WikiLeaks freak from the U.S. Army -- I believe "his" name is PFC Manning -- as Exhibit A on that point.

See:

http://www.gop.gov/bill/111/2/hr3082senateamendment

FLOOR SITUATION

“The House is scheduled to consider Senate amendments to H.R. 3082 on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. H.R. 3082 was initially introduced as the FY 2010 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act and approved in the House by a vote of 415-3 on July 10, 2009. The bill was approved in the Senate on November 17, 2009; however, the bill was not signed by the president because funding for the agencies was ultimately provided through H.R. 3288, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2010. H.R. 3082 is now being further amended and used as the vehicle for a Continuing Resolution (CR) to provide discretionary funding for government activities through March 4, 2011.”

The Continuing Resolution providing for funding the Federal Government at current levels through March 2, 2011 was added to the Military Appropriations Bill.

Many times the Dems play such shenanagins with the naming and renaming of bills that it is difficult to follow (no accident). In this case the Continuing Resolution was added to the Military Appropriation Bill.

He voted Nay on DADT. It is probable that he actually supported it, but that the Dems had enough votes that they let him seek cover by not voting for it.

Had the chips been down he probably would have voted for it, is my guess.

I doubt very seriously that PFC Manning is the real source of the leaked documents on WIKILEAKS.

I’m not seeing it. The FCC will quash the internet; DADT will hurt the military,; and the START treaty leaves Russia the winner and America the loser.

When is Graham’s term up? Sounds like he’s feigning conservative for a coming reelection. I thought he came in in 2008, which would put his reelection date in 2014.

Maybe he’s putting a conservative cloak over his extremely liberal views on global warming/climate change. Or maybe he’s actually afraid of being “outed” and wants to appear as conservative as possible to counter his, ummmm, “orientation”.

The repeal of DADT is an illusion. Political illusion.

The DADT repeal was a big one. Damaging our military at any time is unacceptable”

There will be many ‘unintended consequenses;’ from DADT, I predict.

Who showers with who?
Who is billetted with who?
Who stands guard with who?
Who lives in base housing?
Who is “Married” to who & who gets frist draw at base housing?
What is taught in the base schools? “Heather Has Two Mommies”?????

I predict a serious rise in home schooling for military families.

I predict the next ‘demand’ will be Gay Pride parades on Armed Forces Day. What a country!!! We will be laughed at by every other country—even Tibet.

I predict a large number of military members do not re-up when their current time is up.

I predict that Special Forces-—Officers—& many well-trained others will leave the military, never to return.

That means the millions of dollars the USA has spent in giving them the finest training in the world will have been wasted. This also means the brain drain will further weaken our military, which IMO, is exactly what NObama wants.

Our military will be in further jeopardy in the Middle East, since being gay is really considered a death sentence there. Get caught by Al Queda? Good Luck.

The draft will have to be re-instated since the volunteers will not be military quality.

Bad enough that now 25% ++ of the volunteers cannot pass a simple exam to enter the military. (I took the Navy test in 1957 & got a 99% score)

Now, tell those macho gang bangers who are being sent to the military to try & straighten out their lives that they will be living with gays..... Not going to be pretty.

I am sure there will be even more Unintended Consequences beyond those I have listed here.

She mentioned in her first book a lesbian who is a friend of hers. (This might get her zotted if she were signed on at this site)

I have several homosexual friends, but unlike personnel stories sympathetic to homosexual behavior (Of those who were "zotted"), their underlining behavior should not be accepted/tolerated in society (Keep the bedroom stuff, in the bedroom).

My brother engaged in adultery and broke up a marriage, I still love the guy, but his behavior will never be accepted.

She, more than likely, takes a Christian approach to the subject,

What is the Christian approach? Is it rolling over, actively taking part of a decaying society, and crossing your fingers that Jesus will not punish the believer for being lukewarm while going along to get along in 21st century of "moral" self-indulgence ("Enlightenment")? "Fire breathers" will turn people off, but appeasers will comfort the eroding soul who keeps pushing for "acceptance" of Mortal sins (Not just homosexuality).

Well stated, if a homosexual can die for his Country, how can we deny that person Xxxxxxxx!

The repeal of DADT is not about Homosexuals serving in the Military

Thanks. I’m glad to know that I was wrong.

Hopefully we can primary out some on your list as well as replace a few Democrats with good conservatives in ‘12.

The Democratic Party has been lost to communists and they’ve obviously made inroads into the GOP given what they’ve done during this lame duck.

You kids are being sold a bill of goods by the media that kisses obamas ass.....you won......

Don’t let anyone sell your victories short....you may not have kicked his ass the way we all want, but you prevented him from burying the country in deeper debt, you stopped him from starting to pay for obamycare and at the very least killed the NIGHTMARE act and cap and tax...

You have President Palin waiting in the wings to repeal the laws and the executive mandates, and rid America of the czars through legislation....

(All this crying about DADT....do any one you KNOW any gay people.....you act like they can’t fight...the gay folks I knew in NY were the most dangerous cats around.....turn the terrorists over to them for a week.....you might be pleasantly surprised if you give them a chance....besides.....do you people really believe there are no known gays in the military...are you that naive....)

You guys did great considering you had a cheater by the balls.

Be a little proud, back the new house and give them a chance to do their stuff.....you might be surprised....

Now Happy New Year and Merry Christmas
