PHOENIX - A security guard for a gentlemen's club was shot early Christmas morning, but he survived, and Phoenix police say his ballistic vest may have saved his life.

Police said the 25-year-old security guard was shot multiple times by Tekina Latu, 22, at the club, Chichis, near 19th Avenue and Campbell. He was shot several times in the vest.

Police said there was a fight between two groups of people before they arrived at about 1 a.m. Saturday. The security guard and a bouncer broke up the fight and told everyone to leave. They said Latu became upset, pulled a gun and fired several rounds at the guard, who was hit in multiple areas.

Who goes to a strip club on Christmas?
Who works there on Christmas?

Can you say “human trafficking”?

“The security guard was able to locate his sidearm after he was shot and returned fire, hitting Latu several times before he fell to the ground, police said.”

...

“Latu was taken by relatives to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.”

I particularly like the “shot multiple times and then run over” approach to taking out the trash.

Hmm—wonder how many places the security guard had to look before he “located his sidearm”, AKA gun!

Gentlemen’s club = Strip club

Now just what are the odds that the family of Tekina Latu sues the club?
Or possibly the guard because he had an unfair advantage wearing that bullet proof vest.

and will win one or both.

MOM QUOTES ‘pick one or all’

But he was turning his life around.
Had just started going for his GED.
Celebrating learning he was a baby daddy for the 9th time.
He was even going to look for a job next week.
Here that “Trifling Security Guard” took my baby from me.
He had just delivered that 72” plasma TV before going to his club.

Its kind of a sensory thang ....

Let someone hit you in the chest full force with a baseball bat as hard as they can then get up an try to spell your own name much less find anything ....

It hurts bad....trust me !....:o)

Hope you had a good Christmas Basil.

Stay Safe....

You would be surprised at the low lifes who go to strip clubs on Christmas. When I was in college, I worked nights in a federal agency. On my way home in the mornings, I would pass bars that opened at 6 a.m. There was business going on at virtually all of them.

Christmas mornings--I didn't have to work every Christmas--I would see guys pulling up to the strip clubs while I was on my way home. And I seriously doubt that guys go to strip clubs unless there are women, well, stripping.

Human trafficking? Naw, unless you mean human trafficking in terms of the guys pouring into these places.
