I’m wondering if this is part of a scam. The thief could very well have sold the pickup for a nice chunk of change and perhaps made an additional $10 grand by returning the dog. That wouldn’t be a bad day’s work.
F250/350 are favored by the drug smugglers right now.
I am just guessing, but if Ramos was that hard up for money, perhaps he stole the truck and turned it over to smugglers for a few hundred. Then ended up collecting the dog reward/ransom as a bonus.
