I hope that they catch and DESTROY the thieves.
I was thinking about sending him $5 or $10 towards the debt. It’s not much but it’s what I can spare.
Such love and loyalty should be rewarded imo.
I also hope they are able to find and destroy the thieves. This kind of felony blackmail, not to mention the pain they know the guy’s going through (most people love their pets, it’s why they have them).
The punishments must be severe in order for other people who might be considering doing the same thing, think twice and their greater self-preservation/cowardice overwhelms their poor judgment.
