Rumor has it that one of Uncle Teddy’s last wishes was that Caroline get the New York Senate seat vacated by Hillary, so that a Kennedy would continue in the Senate after he was gone.
Uncle Teddy did not get his wish, as Caroline’s listening tour in her efforts to get appointed to that vacancy was such a disaster.
People like the Kennedys do believe that due to wealth and power and lineage and all that, that their family is entitled to things that you and I are not entitled to.
But all is forgiven because the Kennedys are good Democrats. And one Kennedy runs a non-profit organization to help the poor pay for heating oil. Another Kennedy cousin lectures us on global warming.
So, when various Kennedys have accidents in which a girl drowns, or a Kennedy behaves improperly with an under-age babysitter, all is forgiven because they are liberal, good Democrats, and Kennedys.
The same behavior would not be forgiven from a prominent Republican family. I think we all know that.
