The old rabbis had a saying, "The man who tries to interpret scripture while not having a job will distort its meaning." (sorry, this is a third-hand paraphrase of something I think I read once. It's strange though -- an atheist, or one of these fanatical and malignant cultists, can be a Jew in good standing. A Jew who discovers Yeshua, however, "goes out to an evil culture" (is excommunicated).
