I live in Massachusetts near the NH border and it only took me about an hour to shovel my foot of snow this morning. Just a routine snowstorm for me. Now I'm ready to head out to the Dunkin Donuts, which I'm sure will be open.

This "state of emergency" is a crock. There's no emergency here! It's just the governor extending the holiday weekend for his cronies. Had this same storm happened on a Wednesday in a regular workweek, it would have been business as usual the next morning.

Looks like we got 1.5 feet in CT.

Storm starting to wind down here, heading out to shovel and park truck back in driveway.

It’s winter people.

Hanscom AFB is shutdown today except for essential personnel. I am taking PTO and will be allowed to make it up over the next couple of weeks.

Having grown up in Wisconsin (Yeah, some of us did actually grow up!), this is a nice snow storm. I will have another cup of coffee, shovel a path to the shop and get a fire started in the wood stove, and enjoy the day off.

I'll crank up the snow blower this afternoon and clear the driveway. We have heat, power, water and coffee...life is good!
