My condolences on your loss. And I’m sorry that you had to live the indignity of receiving such a letter.

Great letter. I’m very sorry for the incredible pain this mother must feel. Her son’s murderer, in a sane world, would have been put to death.

“O Europe, what happened to you? After tens of millions murdered and maimed and a whole generation of husbands, fathers, sons and brothers laying in cometary s across the breadth of this continent-is this the best solution we can come up with?”
Wish I could remember the name of the former Wehrmacht officer who said these words upon his return to West Germany after many long years in Stalin’s gulags. On what you would think would be one of the most joyous days of his life he said these depressing words to a German TV reporter as he passed into freedom. The words seem just as depressing today as they did on that long ago Christmas Eve in 1954.

The Islamist pig did not give a damn, but if the letter is published in Dutch newspapers, its tone is very effective in moving the hearts of ordinary Dutch voters—much more than if the grieving mother had taken an angry, vengeful, sarcastic, or justifiably righteous tone.

The circumlocution of the writing style is typical of the way the Dutch speak and write in English. I don’t speak Dutch so I don’t know if the Dutch language works this way, but many Dutch people who have befriended me through the years use just this sort of voice when talking in English. Maybe not so quite so definitive as the way Americans are used to communicating, yes?

Gates of Vienna, author Ned May (aka ‘Baron Bodissey’), appears to be the primary English blog source:

http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2010/12/letter-from-flemish-mother-to-moroccan.html

Gates of Vienna has a link to a Dutch blog in the story but 1) I don’t read Dutch, and 2) just looking at the Dutch blog I don’t see anything with visual cues suggesting the same story. So I am asking Gates of Vienna to ante up with some more background material. I will post later if I get a response.

Given that most murders get less than 10 years in Europe she won’t have to complain about the commute for too long.

I’m surprised that more people don’t seek out “street justice” in these types of cases as they certainly don’t get any justice from the lib governments. I guess they’ve just been so indoctrinated that they don’t even have a concept of justice any more over there.

Is she expecting sympathy from the devil?

She should be thankful that it happened in a Western country, rather than somewhere in koranistan where kafirs have no value & moslems cannot be prosecuted under Sharia “law” for killing one.

That’s a blogger passing it on...not the actual person...hence no original source.

Wow..what a letter....And this mother of the slain child is showing much strength. There is no strength in showing understanding or peace to your violators.

Sounds like this Moluccan Islamic raised one hell of a son....not only a murderer....but a “model” bedburner, too.

Dutch source for story comes from Amsterdam Post:

http://www.amsterdampost.nl/een-brief-van-een-antwerpse-moeder-aan-een-marokkaanse-moeder/

Gates of Vienna still trying to authenticate the story. The only new factoids so far are that Timo, the translator of the letter, says it’s authentic, and says it is at least plausible because recently there were riots in some Belgian prisons and supposedly an independent story about a Moroccan mother complaining about her son being moved to a more distant prison.

Dunno.

Verification would be a snap - incredibly easy:

1. Name of prison perp would be public record.
2. News article with name of mother complaining would be avaiable which would once again provide name of prison perp.

Since OP references blogger who references Dutch blogger who references so-and-so who personally vouches authenticity without providing names...etc...

...it’s fiction aimed at those who are gullible and ready to believe anything that tugs certain strings.

What planet do you live on? Do you have any idea what it’s like to live in Western Europe now? How naive and insular and provincial is it possible to be?

What does noting the lack of sourcing for a story have to do with being naive or insular or provincial?

Attack the messenger much?

Ad-hom much?

Perhaps her life would be in danger if she were specifically identified? Spent much time in Europe in the past five to eight years?

Well, I'm not so sure as you are there's nothing to this. There were very recent riots in Belgian prisons, one of which occurred in the Antwerp region:

Prison Riots in Belgium

Allegedly, the mother who wrote the letter saw the story about the whiny Moroccan who killed her son on Flemish TV. That sort of extremely local, minor story is not at all likely to have made it into the English-speaking press. Therefore, it would not necessarily be so easy to confirm as you suggest; simple web searches using English vocabulary would probably not turn it up.

As for public records, they would contain multiple identities of convicted killers in Belgium's prison system, any number of whom may have participated in the prison violence (which the above link states did include prisoners setting fires). How do you reduce the possibilities to the right individual with any certainty?

And then there's the small matter of actually accessing those public records. If you know how to get at Belgian prison records, I'd be curious to know how it's done. Being an attorney, I might actually have a use for it someday.

As for the degrees of separation in the chain of communication, I have received assurances via email, though admittedly indirect and sanitized for safety, that the source is real but must remain anonymous. Obviously, that could be false information. Or it could be true. It's really a "jury" question. I can't speak for you, but my own direct contact with these people gives me a sense that they are telling the story the way a truthful person would tell it, and that above all they do not wish to endanger an innocent person. It's one of those things where people have to make up their own mind, but for my part, so far, I am inclined to believe it, though I do not begrudge you your doubt.
