The victims of this attack were lucky an armed bystander came forward to assist them.

The real tragedy of this is that the Marine on leave will soon return to Afghanistan and tell his compatriots how dangerous it is “back in the world.”

Those of you who have “been around” for a while may remember the Spring 1964 incident in NY city when Kitty Genovese was stabbed to death in FRont of witnesses who would not “get involved.” She died of massive stab wounds.
I made up my mind then that I would not be a victim, nor would I allow anyone else to be a victim, of such a heinous crime, and armed myself.
So far, it has worked!
