Obama Gets a Real Vacation

HONOLULU - President Obama's Hawaii retreat has been about as close as any president can get to a real vacation.

At the risk of jinxing Mr. Obama, so far no major crisis or controversy has intruded into his get-away.

Okay, a “Captain Obvious” question: Why is it that whenever Dubya went to Crawford, it was ALWAYS “another vacation, doesn’t he EVER work?” Now, with nObama, it’s “hard-earned time away from Washington!”

I’d be curious to see if anyone has (or has the cajones to) come up with a comparison of time away from Washington for Dubya and the current resident of the People’s House???

The president travels with a staff that reflects the same presence seen at the White House. His national security and press office teams are with him. Dozens of other support personnel keep the president in contact with the White House situation room and key aides back in Washington. I must have missed the CBS reports about President Bush working from his ranch.

Why are there so many published puff pieces about his vacation???? Why does the MSM do this?

Whenever Bush was on vacation, he was neglecting his job, and disrespecting the masses who are grappling with poverty by going on vacation. But with Obama, we’re supposed to say tha the president deserves a vacation, to get away from it all, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Can you imagine if Laura Bush had taken a big entourage to Spain as Michelle Obama did? Can you imagine how the liberals and MSM would have treated that story?

Speaking of Michelle, do we know who paid for that humongous trip of hers?

So the rule is : if a Republican is president, his going on vacation is neglecting his job and not caring about the masses grappling with poverty. If a good Democrat is president, he deserves a vacation from the stresses of the toughest job on earth.
