John Bolton: Obama Administration “Doesn’t Fundamentally Believe In National Missile Defense”
Mediaite ^ | 12/28/10 | Matt Schneider

Former U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Bolton appeared with Tucker Carlson last night on Hannity to discuss his strong disapproval of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START). Bolton believed the ripple effects of the treaty would cost America “for years to come” and Tucker even described alleged liberal rationale for the treaty as “grotesque.”

The START treaty, if ultimately ratified by the Russian parliament, would require the drawing down of nuclear warheads of both the U.S. and Russia over the next seven years from current levels of 2,200 each to 1,550. Tucker was first annoyed that Obama rushed the treaty through the lame duck Senate, when in fact the hurry was unnecessary since Russia will not vote on it until the end of January. Bolted explained it was politically vital for Obama because the new batch of Republicans arriving in January never would have approved it.

More significantly, Tucker was confused by the basic theory behind the treaty:

Carlson: Why does it make the world a safer place when the U.S. gets rid of its own nuclear weapons? Isn’t a strong, well-armed America the key to harmony in this world?

Bolton: Of course it is, but not in the ideology of the Obama administration. They really believe that it’s America’s nuclear capability that’s the problem, not the source of strategic stability.

Naw, they're afraid ~ they know the wimpy Obama regime will be replaced sooner than they expected by a strong Republican administration dedicated to eliminating the missile gap and willing to use even more advanced technology to create an effective anti-missile defense ~ particularly one that can take down submarine launched missiles.

I see a series of linear motors in the future ~ each better than the other ~ and able to take out any missile anytime anywhere in our end of the solar system.

What's not to like about that.

I happened to catch this interview last night and it was superb. He laid it all out. And made me very afraid for my country. We were completely punked by the Russians. I pray we have John Bolton for our next Secretary of State.

Well, here's a flash for ya:

obama doesn't fundamentally believe in any damned thing that will advance this country.

obama is a treasonous POS that is being manipulated by outside sources and he does not wish anything whatsoever well for this country.

Wake up people, and see the piece of canine excrement for what he is!

Got to hell, obama.

If we are EVER hit with an ICBM, then any and all of those who forcibly tied our won hands that could have saved thru Missile Defense had best be out of the country...for good.

If that ever does happen, I suspect the good folks in America won’t be communicating their acute displeasure by then via the ballot box.

Its one thing to be anti-nuclear and all of that but its outright a death wish for our citizens to ALSO be anti-defensive weapons that have NOTHING to do with killing people??!! Devoid of logic.

Mind boggling, just stupid that’s all I can say.

“If we are EVER hit”

More like a matter of when.

Obama...Doesn’t Fundamentally Believe In National Missile Defense”

Of course not. His foreign policy is the polar opposite of the Reagan "Peace through strength" approach.

But I am puzzled why the author seems to go to great pains to make Tucker Carlson look like a dummy. I saw the interview. He was asking questions that were almost rhetorical and giving Bolton an opportunity to hit them out of the park. When that occurs on the liberal side, we call the questions softballs.

Of course if Carlson had challenged Bolton, then I supposed someone would call him a "bow-tied bum-kisser." (Oh wait, I think someone already did that.)

That's because he sees Billions of dollars spent on protecting America as money that he could be giving illegal immigrants and lazy ass union thugs retirement programs. The guy just doesn't have a clue. What the hell good is all that if America is reduced to a wasteland?

O comes out of a communist milieu, he was always surrounded by communists and communist agents; he is probably one himself.

For certain, he is someone’s front man. We keep trying to analyze his actions as president but he is a place-holder. His personal ideology is no doubt in line with his actions and policies but he is a puppet. Noticing who he rolls over for tells you more about who pulls his strings than it does about him. He is a genuine fake.

If you go back to one of the very few documents actually attributed to young Baraq, it’s an article written for the Columbia U magazine in the early 80s.

It’s obvious that his views haven’t changed much.

I’ll just never get why liberals think that a missile defense is ‘provocative’ to nuclear armed countries. Do they think that locked doors are provocative to burglars? Maybe police should not carry guns because that’s provocative to criminals?

Geez, I hate these people.

"Going all of the way back to the great Ron Reagan the liberals never understood the concept or the need for missile defense, and they never wanted to either. They argued that the technology was “untested” and “expensive”

You're exactly right, they also argued against having a large proportion of our scientists working on such a project. Of course, they never had a problem with a HUGE proportion of so called 'scientists' working on a hoax---Globull warming.
