John Bolton exposed himself as a complete fraud when he made himself an ardent cheerleader for the Clinton administration’s disgraceful military campaign in Serbia/Kosovo back in the late 1990s.

. John Bolton, former U.S. assistant secretary of state for international organizations, says, “It is a big mistake for us to grant any validity to international law even when it may seem in our short-term interest to do so — because, over the long term, the goal of those who think that international law really means anything are those who want to constrict the United States. We ought to be concerned about this so-called right of humanitarian intervention — a right of intervention that is just a gleam in one beholder’s eye but looks like flat-out aggression to somebody else. What we did was bomb innocent civilian Serbs into the ground in order that the Albanians can come back and ethnically cleanse the Serbs’ relatives out of what’s left of Kosovo.” (italics.ed)

Shady...

John Bolton has his enemies here at FR. If you try to find pout why, either you get no response or some BS lie. These are the people that vote for guys like Bush, Dole and McCain.

Why would you say something like that? Everyone is entitled to an opinion? I’m not right all the time. I’m here to learn from others. I’m so sorry you are shocked. Anything I can do to help you out?

Sometimes it's not a good idea to put your name on an open letter posted on the Internet and/or on the Op-Ed page of the New York Times . . . because it makes it impossible to go back later to change your story and con people about your track record:

Mr. President, Milosevic Is The Problem

And Looky Here -- Another One!

I have little to no problem with the letter save the last item which gives the Hague authority. There are some pretty heavy names on that letter some of which I admire and a few I absolutely revile. Bolton discusses this letter, the war, Milosevic, how it was received and what Clinton did in his book “Surrender is not an Option” I suggest you read it. Until you have read it, what you have in my opinion, is an opinion based on incomplete information. Or perhaps you stood behind the other side, guys like Jimmy Carter and Russia.

Personally, I would have stayed out of it. Aiding the Muslims to the extent we did was a mistake: also my opinion and Bolton's.

If that is the extent of your displeasure for John Bolton then you have a very weak case. There is something that can be dug up on everyone running that can be twisted and spun. Legitimate mistakes also. Reagan have several. You do not like John Bolton, fine....but don't spin lies about the man without all the facts.
