There are many possibilities, and we would have to know a fair amount about applicable NC law to understand the line in the story.
So, King David died unforgiven for Uriah's death? I thought he said that God forgives all of our sins. Anyway, David understood that the offense in sin is against God alone. And God forgives. Even the abominable unfaithfulness of Israel.
I suggest you re-read Psalms 51 and 103. Spend some time on Hallel. Get to know the goodness of God.

I am curious as to where you get the idea that murder is unforgiveable. What then were those Levites doing every year with the rope around their ankle and the bells on their robes? My Rabbi teaches that the only thing you can do to not be forgiven is to refuse it.
