I agree that Sen. Byrd was in the Senate too long. I hope that more U.S. senators will be like Paul Simon, Evan Bayh, Jim Bunning, and Bill Frist. All of them had two terms and decided to retire.

Two or three terms is long enough. But one must accept that egotism makes these very ordinary men think they are extraordinary. I once was a gopher for Ralph Yarborough, once Senator from Texas. A very man with a very nice wife, Judge Yarborough was very vain.

Lugar always seems to get farmers in the state money thus his voters. Need to cut off govt. money to the farmers. With the “push” for ethanol, farmers need to get their land out of USDA programs and start planting crops.

Good idea, the key is to pick solid candidates to run against the Dem, no more Angles or O’Donnells...

Teaparty express needs to butt out and go find some other way to make a living...

BTW - I am flame proof...

I have no desire to take down Scott Brown as he is the best you are going to get from that “state”. I suspect the same is true of Olympia snow but I will look to see what it looks like then. Both Snow and brown voted against Amnesty so I have no desire to throw them over for ideological purity. Now Lugar is a different thing. As a native born Hoosier Ihave always been proud of him and the respect that he has brought. However, the amnesty vote makes me want to throw him out big time. Corker I do not know much about but Tennessee should be able to do pretty good. Utah should be able to do pretty good to. I always thought of Hatch as a good conservative but maybe that has change in the past few years. I would consider Hutchinson as well since she helped sabotage the fence.

Re: “You a romney supporter or maybe hucabee?”

I don’t have much use for either of them, frankly.
In a pinch I might prefer Mitt over the Huckleberry, who I feel might be a bit of a fraud and I can’t abide him for long.

Was a fan of Allan Keyes in the last election, until he lost, then Ron Paul as he’s better than McLame - the establishment made short work of him.
Ended up voting for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party, as he was the only candidate my conscience would allow me to actually vote for.

From Redleg Duke: “Because you idiots would rather have your dicks cut off with dignity than vote for anyone other than someone who meets your level of conservative purity.

Politics is the art of the possible, but you and your ilk are so unbending that you let the RATS manipulate you at every turn.”

**************************************************************

Excuse me??? First off, you need to remember that we’re on the same side (at least, I THINK we are), so I don’t appreciate you resorting to ignorantly calling me an idiot for asking you a perfectly legitimate question (which by the way you never answered). Again, I ask you... How has voting for RINOs benefited America or the conservative movement? In fact, I would argue that it was the RINO policies of the GOP-controlled 109th Congress from 2005-2007 that ultimately GAVE US Barack Obama.

For your information, I live in Pennsylvania and for too long had to deal with the GOP establishment forcing that liberal idiot Arlen Specter down our throats even though there were electable conservative candidates out there. But I stepped up to the plate every time and voted for that RINO because he was supposedly a slightly better alternative than the Democrat candidate. (After all, isn’t that how you “non-principled” conservatives keep recommending we vote?) Ok, so now what did this brilliant strategy of voting for Specter all these years ultimately get us? It got us a RINO who ended up stabbing voters and the GOP in the back by jumping ship to the Democrat party and giving Obama and the Dems a 60 vote filibuster proof senate to ram through much of their Marxist agenda!

So please, sir, explain to me how you can claim I’m so “unbending” and that the Dems are somehow manipulating “my ilk” at every turn to spread socialism? And this time, please try to respond from one conservative to another in a civil intelligible manner without the disrespectful name-calling.

Okay, you respond in the open and then send the same message in FREEPMAIL.

My answer is the same for both and I will not waste the bandwidth sending it again.

Go ahead and keep the RAT PARTY on life support.

Once again, you avoid addressing or refuting a damn thing I said. Perhaps it’s because you know you CAN’T.

Pathetic.
