He should be at Guantanamo with all the other America-hating terrorists. But then, so should Code Pink.

These people are not members of “peace groups”. They are leftists. They espouse collectivism, not “peace”.

Major reality disconnect. Take the war-related content out of the issue entirely, such as the helicopter video. Remove the material that could constitute whistle blowing on possibly illegal government actions.
You’re still left with Manning having released thousands of classified diplomatic cables that could potentially threaten relations with various countries and get people killed.

While PFC Manning deserves to be put up against the wall and shot, I am concerned about how a lowly PFC was apparently able access to that vast array of secret communications including diplomatic communications and easily make copies. Secrecy depends on giving information only those who need to know. In this case a huge amount of US secrets must be very poorly stored and not restricted in access. It also begs the question about who gave Manning security clearance and how much did his background get investigated. This all shows a fundamental breakdown of US security.

I’m such an idiot.
Here I am trying to get ahead by working hard and obeying the law.
What I really need to do is break the law and become a liberal hero. Then I’d be rich and have an easy life.
Oh well - just another day in Obamaland.

Wait a minute, two no-life lesbian witches show up with a pink bed sheet and a 50 cent poster board and get coverage from the media while half a million Americans trek to DC and the news stations act like it never happened? (it's rhetorical, I know better)

If guilty of this crime...this man should be put to death. treason knows no other punishment unless spineless liberals WANT him alive to promote their agendas against the death penalty. Disgruntled about DADT is not an issue to even be suggested though it shows the power of a cause when the public does not shame it for what it is.

Just because the traitor is a queer is no reason he shouldn’t be confined for at least 30 years and if his action has cost lives, he should serve life in a cell alone or face the firing squad.

Manning is suspected of downloading thousands of secret reports and diplomatic cables and handing them over to WikiLeaks.
Manning did not hand them over, he sold them. He was not a "whistleblower" because he was not reporting on a criminal act. He is a lousy traitor who did it for money, no glory, no honor, no integrity. Forgiveness is of the Lord, so send Manning to the Lord!
