My understanding is that the Dutch were sold Manhattan by the Canarsie tribe, who lived in what is now Brooklyn. The Manhattans summered upstate, and when the Dutch got to the island, the Canarsies canoed over and “sold” the land of their traditional enemy to the Dutch. When the Manhattans returned in the fall and found a Dutch trading post, there was a brief war, causing the Dutch to create a palisade across the bottom of the island - the place now called Wall Street.
So who gets the island?
And speaking as a Jew, this should mean that the Jews get their traditional homeland, too.
I agree with the writer who stated that this is just a way to stir up discontent and disunity for the purpose of allowing the leftist minority to come in and assume power.
No, they don’t intend to give back the actual land, just the control of the land and everything that you do with that land, especially farming. Small farms, in particular, are anathema to the left. They hate farms and they really hate farm animals. What they are doing in WA is relating everything to salmon fishing. They want to give control of all water to the Indians and charge residents for all non-deeded water rights. Non-deeded means all water rights that were granted after the Indian treaty was signed. They want to charge people for the storm water that runs across their property as well. They tried passing a law that would require a permit for placing a rain barrel or a cistern on your property, but that failed. So, now they are charging for controlling the storm water that runs off your property.
The idea is to force people into the cities, into tacky little condos that will be ghettos in twenty years.

The world has been conquered and reconqued so often you cannot assign title except by possession after more than a generation has passed. This is a point so often overlooked when, for example, you hear Mexicans complain about losing the SW: they forget that they took it from the Aztecs, who only a few generations before took it from the Toltecs, who took it in their turn from the Olmecs, who took it from God knows who. If we follow this absurdity to it logical conclusion the entire U.S. belongs to the Clovis Man, and we should hold it in trust until we can identify his surviving descendants.
