They're back. Those gullible defenders of convicted multiple murderer Kevin Cooper are trying to free Cooper, who was convicted in the brutal 1983 slaying of chiropractors Doug and Peggy Ryen, their ten-year-old daughter Jessica, and 11-year-old house guest Christopher Hughes. Cooper also slit the throat of son Joshua Ryen, 8, and left him for dead. New York Times columnist Nicholas D. Kristof, whose work I usually admire, blew it. In "Framed for murder", Kristof suggested that California law enforcement deliberately framed a black man. Kristof urged Gov. Schwarzenegger to commute his capital punishment sentence.

his legal team ignores Cooper's history as a violent repeat offender, who had been institutionalized so many times that he has escaped 12 times, and only got caught after the Ryen murders because a victim went to Santa Barbara authorities to report that Cooper had raped her at knifepoint.

I just read the NY Crimes piece. Conveniently he left out the part about rocket scientist Cooper calling his pals long distance, in Philly, from the Ryen residence, the night of the murders. Never let facts get in the way of a good story.
I don't even really care if he killed them, or not. That right above is enough to justify the death penalty
Yeah, yeah, I know that this is not what he has been convicted of, blah, blah, blah. All I'm saying is that I have no sympathy for this man.
Thanks to liberals, it takes 30 years to execute a murderer. I was in my 20s when Kevin Cooper was caught and convicted. 30 years later, this murderer gamed the system to avoid the needle even though he’s guilty as sin.
Race has nothing to do with his crime. And liberals who want to grant him clemency would have you have overlook the fact he has done nothing to deserve it.
He should have been executed decades ago. The world would have been better off without him in it.
I guess liberals can’t grasp the fact that 8 yr old Ryen, his throat slashed by Cooper, having seen Cooper ax and stab his sister and friend and parents, lying on the floor bleeding, watching Cooper lift the shirt and carve up the stomach of his dead 10 yr old sister...
couldn’t tell the difference between Cooper a black man and “3 crazed white men” the defense claims were the real killers
