Actually, there are a few dedicated groups of balloon launchers in SK. They launch hundreds of fliers at a time. In addition to fliers, some balloons also carry ramens, a little bag of rice(100gram,) and a dollar bill.

on some days with favorable wind, they are said to reach deep inside NK all the way to the area just to the south of Pyongyang or part of Hamkyong Province.

Many of these items are apparently raining down on areas in the North not far from DMZ.

How can we financially help these groups? Does anyone know of an legitimate organization where we can send donations to that will help fund the balloon care package flights?
