Yes. The North county is pretty solid Republican and has been growing by leaps and bounds over the last 20 years. Also hurricane Ike did what hurricane Katrina did for LA, it drove out the high concentrations of generational Democrats in the South part of the county, particularly in Galveston. Unfortunately for our Houstonian neighbors to the North, they were the unlucky hosts for society’s parasites from LA and Galveston.

oh yeah, I had forgotten about Ike, that storm wasn't covered very much in the news for some reason.
