“You can turn away independents if you like, but you will never win an election again without them.”
Nor will one win another election if you lose the conservative base. Continuing to jerk conservatives around by watering down all forms of conservatism to appease the squishy independents....will only result in a lose-lose situation.

John Roberts radiates all the grace of someone releasing gas in church! When Roger Ailes forced Kiryn Chetry out of FOX, she was immediately hired by CNN and was a saving grace for Good Morning America.
She is one of the few show hosts who actually permits a guest to answer the question that was asked. This is in sharp contrast to most of the other hosts who lecture a guest on how the question should be answered.
Kiryn obviously had a major shortcoming for the FOX Network, SHE IS NOT A BLONDE!

"Gee I wonder if he is gonna take his concubine, Kyra Phillips with him?!"He doesn't have to, she's already there. She works for CNN out of Atlanta. He made a point of saying on his last day at CNN New York that he was leaving to be with her. He mentioned that their twins will be born around March

Thanks for fair&balancing the Fox haters. Roger Ailes hired Glenn Beck and moved Alan Colmes to radio. Plus he put Rush Limbaugh and Megyn Kelly on tv. He'd have to hire Katie Couric for me to criticize him after those stellar decisions.
Geez, folks, he's not replacing Hannity, he's doing field work in Atlanta. He may have learned his lesson about shooting his mouth off and act like a professional journalist, ya never know.
News. Reputation. Grey hair. Gravitas. Eye candy for the ladies (who are missing Major Garrett). It'll be ok.

...Since I dont watch CNN I dont know what he looks like.
^^^
Well, I do know what he looks like, as I often switch over to CNN when FNC is covering stupid stuff like Hollyweirdos or if they have on Geraldo or Huckabee. He is the one whose eyes are too far apart so that he reminds me of a hammerhead shark.
Anyway, as luck would have it, I tuned in on what turned out to be his last day at the CNN AM show one day last week. His female co-host stated that he would be leaving, whereupon he announced that he had to move to Atlanta because his “sweetheart” — not his wife — will be giving birth to twins.
Usually, I would not have stayed tuned for such nonsense, but the “sweetheart” caught my attention. Cut to some reporterette who stood up to show the world her pregnant abdomen and to announce that the babies need their “daddy”. Apparently, we are supposed to be amused by the soap opera.

She is an airhead and really turned me off with her sexual innuendo. Two strikes.
BTW, Kiryn, how long have you been around here? And how are you dealing with your anorexia?

You can turn away independents if you like, but you will never win an election again without them. Swing voters determine most elections. Republicans would not have an incoming majority in the House if only conservatives voted for them. We have to grow the movement or we will accomplish nothing The classic point of division here...pragmatism versus idealism. It's how you win elections but get Bushes.
