I am extremely thankful that the GOP gained control of the state senate and state house last November. I fear to think what Gov Dayton (how it pains me to say those words!) and a DFl-controlled state legislature would have done to this state.

Geez --- the thought of senator chicken-sh## as the governor (of this once great state) makes me want to puke..

Sorry if offended anyone but truly those are my real feelings. As another poster put it, we are very lucky that the republicans took control of the house & senate, otherwise we would be in lots of trouble.

I still cannot understand how he got elected -- can we say vote fraud yet ?? I know Emmer wasn't the best candidate but geez..

I suppose... but I cannot still get my mind around it --- both the house & senate go republican and we get him for governor ??

Something just doesn't smell right... But it happened and I need to just let it go.

Still planning on moving out of this state as soon as possible... I really don't trust it anymore --- I think it will flip back to the dark side as soon as it can. Minn-california.

Well for one thing, you could have changed your name to “South Manitoba”...

In reality (sorry I kind of vented on you - not a happy camper) it was the same third-party trick.

I was an election judge and a recount judge. Many Republican voters voted for Tom Horner. It is working very well here in Minnesota except or the time the spoiler won (Ventura).

No offense taken..

Believe me, I've seen my share of stupid voters around here. How we got Ventura, Klobuchar and Franken, I'll never know, but in reality, all I have to do is look around and see the reason why.

Wayyyy too much giveaway in this state --- attacts all the intelligence-challenged (wanted to use a stronger word, but don't want to get banned) to come to Minnesota for FREE STUFF !!!

We’d be Kalifornia without the sun and earthquakes.

You'd be Kalifornia without the tornadoes and endless roadwork.......doncha know, Kali ran out of street money years ago, so we don't get no road work anymore, so we don't have to worry about the barricades.

Funny, in a sad kinda way - in the 50's when I was a kid, this state's highway system was the envy of the nation. Now, only the alignment shop owners are smiling.

New Dem guv asks Soros for help(Mn Mark Dayton)
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=237801

Minnesota Gov.-elect Mark Dayton says he will pay for a recount challenge that he was facing by holding a fundraiser in the home of left-leaning billionaire George Soros.

WND previously reported Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, who was overseeing the recount initiated by Dayton’s Republican challenger, is himself backed by Soros. Ritchie received donations from the Soros-funded Secretary of State project.

In addition, Ritchie was listed by the Communist Party USA as an official “friend.” He also attended a confidential meeting of the organization, according to the communist party’s own correspondence.
