I have been predicting for some time that Japan and the ROK will need to develop a closer defense relationship as a counterweight to Chinese expansionism.

This has AT LEAST as much to do with Japanese concerns with Obama and US Decline as it has to do with Asia regionalism.

Hopefully S. Korea and Japan are going to have increased military cooperation and even a an alliance. This would be a good path to tackle Chinese expansionism and imperialistic aspirations, as well as China’s puppet N. Korea.
