Of course not.
I’m just saying that allowing this to become such a huge part of our conversation isn’t doing anything except promoting the homosexual agenda and allowing them to portray themselves as “normal.” We’re giving them a platform they don’t deserve.
We need to morph the conversation into one demanding integrity and wholesome behavior.
There’s a difference between “don’t-ask-don’t-tell” and “flaunt bad behavior.” There is a big difference between words and actions.
Free speech allows free words. But military laws already on the books regulate action. There have always been homosexuals in the military (and in the priesthood, for that matter.) We should expect mostly-male professions would be an attraction for such deviants.
However, until lately when we allowed the conversation to change and such deviancy to assume “normality”, they’ve had the good sense to shut up about it.
There have also always been military standards that regulate public displays of affection and unseemly fraternization. Soldiers have a stricter code of behavior than the rest of us do.
We can’t squelch free speech, but we can regulate public behavior. And we can also change the conversation to one demanding character and integrity and honorable behavior. Those are values that even the left, hypocritically, would have a hard time refuting.
It’s time for that pendulum to swing.
I asked
"Jedidah, are you really calling for conservatives to shut up and ignore the onslaught of homos in the military?"
You said "Of course not."
