I am talking about the typical "enlightened" modern Western man. Finding a solution requires first recognizing the problem. Our great grandfathers would be disgusted by their great grandsons, as are modern English women, apparently.
Also, what took place in the Garden of Eden was NOT because of the effort of Adam to control Eve, but of the NEED of both to accept responsibility.
The plain text says that Adam ate the fruit Eve gave him. He knew it was a bad idea. If that is not weak, I do not know what is. It was only later that he tried to passively/aggressively blame his actions on God putting the woman in the Garden.
Well I am NOT one who demands that ANY MAN, even my friends, to control me. What I ask is to practice RESPECT which is part of the “golden rule”. Relationships, including friendships with men and women is based on this.
