She's already admitted that she lied about most of the sympathy evoking tales concerning her youth (prime among them that she was sexually abused!) yet apparently desperate (and not very bright) American housewives STILL follow her. I know that she was accused of lies by some of her relatives, but I can't find anything that indicates that she ever admitted to lying about her past. Given Oprah's fame, that would have been big news. Not one to miss an opportunity to feature a splashy new topic for her show, she probably would have capitalized on it herself.
