There's been a couple of fairly large earthquakes in Iran in the past hour - hour and one-half too: Quakes - Global Incident Map

Interetingly, we had a very small 2.6 NE of Seattle @ 2:36 this afternoon.When I went to usgs website to confirm, I saw that central Alaska had a 3.3 about a minute earlier. West coast must be shifting.
