If they could do let say 15 shows(5 in NY, 5 in Chi. and 5 in LA) spread out over two months that could go a long way to do the final farewell.People would pay whatever the cost of ticket,traveling, etc. At least I and a few of my friends would.

Oh, that is OK. When Page was with the Firm, in the late 80s I guess, I had a friend who visited London and she saw him at a club, got an autograph for me which was a nice surprise.

Yeah, I saw them too in April of ‘77...at the Pontiac Silverdome. General admission was all they had. I managed to get within 20 feet of the stage. Not too bad under the circumstances. However, the crowd was heaving forward, back and side-to-side so much that my friends and I lost sight of each other. Still, it was a great show and I would do it again if I thought I could.
What Tony Blair’s religious conversion and work as a peace ambassador has to do with Rock and Roll, then and now, I have no idea!
They don’t need the money. Plant obviously is not interested. I recall Roger Waters who really burned the bridges with the rest of Pink Floyd realized he wanted to bring the band back at the Live 8 Reunion.
Gilmour was not interested, Mason probably not and sadly Rick Wright died about a year later. Gilmour had said in one interview that Waters mentally beat on Wright and Mason so much that he destroyed their confidence. They needed a back up drummer and keyboard player early in their tour when they relaunched post-Waters.
Being in one of these bands usually becomes just a business arrangement. A lot of people cannot stand being around the others after a while in some cases.
Love Robert Plant but I’m sorry that he can’t belt it out like he used to.
I watched a Biography the other night on the BEE GEES. True talent. There is a lot to be proud of to be able to carry your music from the 60’s to the new millennium. Unlike the Stones, they are not pathetic.

I saw that. My hubby watched it twice and called me in to watch it.
I was so touched by the love and respect those brothers had for each other.
I enjoyed them talking about harmony and the lack of it in music now.
I think they carried that harmony into their brotherly relationship too.
I was thinking more along the lines as a last time for the fans thing. Not a lot of traveling for them, spread out the dates to keep down the wear and tear. Let the fans come to them kind of thing.
Buddy and Julie make quite a pair vocally, no?
Don’t forget the lines taken/stolen from Robert Johnson, King of the Delta Blues...
