I don’t joke about 2 things: the Mob and using weapons against people.
Call me melodramatic, but I grew up in Mob country, and I would prefer to keep a low profile around them. Hearing “Make them an offer they can’t refuse “ makes me cringe a little in my subconscious. You don’t have to be a wussy, but poking the bear for no good reason can be dangerous.
And the weapon thing should be obvious...they aren’t a joking matter. If somebody needs killin’ (intruder, etc.) it’s one thing, but if somebody won’t change the channel on the TV, saying “I’ll shoot you” is poor taste.
YMMV, IMHO, etc
I mentioned this to my ultra-liberal brother earlier today, as he was ranting on the phone to me about Sarah Palin and all the “hateful rhetoric...blah..blah...blah...”, and it shut him up real quick!
