To his credit, Ian Punnet, the weekend host of Coast-to-Coast AM noted the left’s attempt to falsly blame this tragic event on Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement. Say what you will about C2C, lot’s of people listen to it.
This is an important point.
Our nation's children swim in a sea of cultural socialism and “fairness”. It is in the media and especially found in our government schools and far too many private schools, as well. Unless countered by strong conservative values in the home, these children when they reach adulthood are unprepared to deal with reality.
Thankfully, humans are resilient and most eventually make the transition into functioning maturity.
Let's call liberals and socialists what they really are: Marxists! They are all riding the same train and none will be satisfied until they reach the final destination: Full-blown communism!
Communism is a religion. Those who “believe” in it, believe that, with just the right combination of earthly leaders, heaven and human perfection is possible here on earth. Openly and subtly it is the religion taught in every government school in our nation and nearly every college and university.
Conservatives, on the other hand, realize that human perfection is not possible in this life. We teach our children ( or we learn on our own) philosophical strategies for dealing with this fact.
It isn't “fair” that some are blessed with, or born with, more material wealth, health, good looks, intelligence, drive, creativity, and/or talents. In a conservative environment children are taught to obey the 10th Commandment, and put aside envy. If they have been dealt a bushel of lemons in life, they learn to make lemonade, and have gratitude for the blessing they do have.
The communist, on the other hand, when faced with life's inevitable unfairness simmer in a stew of hateful envy. It is an ulcer on the soul.
I look at who’s running the media and I think...too late. We already have.
Statists want to serve us a s&^t sandwich and we are supposed to pronounce it good and ask for more. Any opposition or disgust is, to them, hate. Don’t you just LOVE that?
The leftist are such unbelievable children. To them, the absence of ‘hate’ means just going along with what they want.

You can’t put a paranoid lunatic like Jared Loughner, the Tucson shooter, anywhere on the Left or Right of our political spectrum. This was equally true of Clay Duke, the Panama City school board shooter, who was marinated in a thick stew of socialist literature, class envy, and hard-Left websites. It was true of Joseph Stack, the man who flew his airplane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas, leaving behind an anti-capitalist manifesto that approvingly cited the “communist creed.” It was true of James Lee, the environmental extremist who used bombs to take hostages at the Discovery Channel headquarters last September.
No matter what any of these deranged individuals professed to believe, their crimes should not be pinned on the free expression of liberals, because we should not grant editorial control of our speech to lunatics. Likewise, Jared Loughner is responsible for his actions. No matter what ultimately motivated him to shoot Representative Giffords and murder six other people, including a little girl, no part of the blame rests with whoever he happened to agree with, or criticize.
Those who use the corpses of his victims as marionettes for political theater are also responsible for their actions, and deserve our contempt. If liberal Americans have any self-respect, a lot of loudmouths will come to remember January 8, 2010 as they day their soulless careers finally ended”...

Which is to get a gun and kill those who don't 'understand you' or give you the 'respect' you deserve for your obviously superior knowledge and conclusions.

I think you forgot the Unibomber, another environmental extremist.
There is a list somewhere of left wing violence in this country, and it amounts to the vast majority of the political violence here.
I wonder when the DHS will recognize this terrorist threat?
