Second suspect sought in Arizona shooting spree [with picture]

Authorities are searching for a second suspect they describe as a “person of interest” in the shooting incident in Tucson, Arizona that critically injured Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killed six others. The man is described as an adult Caucasian male, between 40 and 50 years-old, with dark hair, His picture is shown in a security camera image at left.

Police are not providing specific details of the possible role this man might have had in the shooting spree, although a law enforcement source close to the investigation told this author that the man might have had prior knowledge of the plans of the primary suspect, Jared Lee LOUGHNER.

The as-yet unidentified male was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark blue jacket.

I have a hunch that the REAL target was Judge Roll, not Giffords.

From what I gathered yesterday, Roll just happened by on his way home from Mass, he had not planned to be there. Did he plan to be there?

According to this family the judge had just attended morning mass and his stop at the Safeway event was a spur of the moment decision- he’s a friend of Giffords and stopped by to say hello and so his being there was really coincidental.

My suspicion is (and this is only my suspicion) Judge Roll may have been being stalked, and was the primary target.

Any chance he could be the guy who posted on DU? That guy said he was going to the rally, and a witness said there were probably only about 20 people there, IIRC. Unless the DU poster was one of the people shot, he’d be a very good candidate to be an accomplice.

I'm inclined to believe no one in particular was a target. It was just a convenient political rally and anyone opening their mouth was a target. I think he was trying to commit suicide also....so maybe a domestic terrorist fits.

To clarify, if one is looking at the picture as looking at this person....the pocket, I spoke of, is on the pants left side (left side of photo). If considering oneself as being the person of interest, it would be the right pants pocket in the picture (for anyone being themself).
