You are 100% right. I grew up with a paraniod schizophrenic. This guy was definately one. To make him out to be anything else is irresponsible.

Society was this guy’s enemy, not Gabrielle Gifford. She just happened to be a prominent figure in society. His choice of targets do not bely any sophisticated thought process which would serve one political ideology or he other, only a blind rage against a system that he was ill prepared to live in.
