Check out my forensics, but I seriously wonder whether Loughner was shooting past Giffords to hit Judge Roll, who was shaking her hand at the time she was shot.
The bullet went in her left temple and came out her forehead close enough on the left side that the bullet only impacted one hemisphere. It was a shallow, diagonal hit only on the left side of her brain.
Like the shooter wasn’t even necessarily aiming at her but at something past her - something in front of her and to her right, which is right where somebody shaking her hand would be. The person shaking her hand was Judge Roll.
Try to picture the scenario in your mind. He was less than 4 feet away from her when he shot. There’s only a certain location he could have shot from to make that kind of wound. If he had wanted to kill her from a position to her left and slightly behind her he could have shot her in the torso and had a much bigger target.
I wonder how tall Judge Roll is, and how tall Giffords is.

Last night my wife and I, after hearing medical doctors on FOX discussing her injury were asking one another, why and how her head injuries were not fatal on such a short distance and why the bullet would exit in the forehead instead going through her scull and exit the back side???
Reminds me of the bullet penetrating JFK and injured the Texas Governor. I think you are on to something while sending Mueller down to cover for the usurper like Hoover, hmmmm, very hmmmm!!!
