I have to tell a funny. I was talking to my mom the other day and I realized for the first time that I was dropping my e’s. Deal spoken as dill and so on, I have always talked like that (grew up in Alaska) but never noticed it before. Well we moved to ND a couple years ago and I am picking up the whole accent from here.
My mom said that every once in a while I stop sounding like Sarah and start sounding like the sheriff from Fargo.

LOL, I live in ND. I wasn’t aware I had an accent until I went to Oklahoma at age 16 on a harvesting crew. The southern girls loved our “Canadian” accents. Y’all! I ordered Sprite at a drive in theater and couldn’t get them to understand me. I said you know, Sprite, like 7up. One girl said ohhh Spriiiiiitee, dragging it out a mile long! lol. I’ll never forget it.
