TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) At an event roughly three years ago, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords took a question from Jared Loughner, the man accused of trying to assassinate her and killing six other people. According to two of his high school friends the question was essentially this: "What is government if words have no meaning?"
Loughner was angry about her response she read the question and had nothing to say.
"He was like ... 'What do you think of these people who are working for the government and they can't describe what they do?'" one friend told The Associated Press on Sunday. "He did not like government officials, how they spoke. Like they were just trying to cover up some conspiracy."
Both friends spoke on condition of anonymity, saying they wanted to avoid the publicity surrounding the case. To them, the question was classic Jared: confrontational, nonlinear and obsessed with how words create reality.

We all know that Tea Party members, Sarah Palin and Sharon Angle believe the US government was behind 9/11./s
I thought this ass clown was working for her.
A liberal buttstain.
What is going on? Is he a libtard or isnt he?
BTW, you have to feel for that jewelry company Jared. They’ll prbably have to change their name. That “It can only be Jared” jingle probably won’t be used for quite some time.
I actually just checked and there are two Jared stores in Tuscon. Not good.
3 years ago he was stalking the good Congresswoman.
Soooo regarding the media’s Palin connection: Nice try media, you FAILED! He was stalking her in 2007. Checkmate.
I also noticed the part where they said he acted wierd towards some of the women in the class. I wouldn’t be surprised if that has something to do with what happened. Giffords is young and attractive. Could be some psycho-sexual angle going on.
I think you’re right.
I will be interested in hearing from the parents at some point. They probably have lawyered up and will not be talking anytime soon. They had to have known that their kid was emotionally troubled.
Well now I see why Rep. Clyburn is saying it was Sharon Angles fault.
A truther.....well isnt that just icing on the cake....
I really want to know what question he asked gifford...I bet it had to do with 9/11...
This could really be the motive...
To truthers....if you dont gree with them or dismiss them...you are part of the conspiracy...
And that’s just the half sane ones...
Nobody has claimed he worked for her. That was a poster at Kos who wrote that she was dead to him, not the same guy.
I checked further and the Jared store in Tuscon is at 4210 N Oracle Ave and the Safeway where everything happened is at 7110 N Oracle Ave. So this Jared is basically right down the street or a few minutes away at most. I can’t imagine too many people will be pleased seeing that name so close to where everything happened.
I read somewhere, prolly here on FR, that the perp lived with his mom. Mothers know all about their chilluns when they live at home. Where the bong is hidden, where the Penthouse mags are hidden, where the little crotch fruit goes when he is not in the basement.
I’m betting they’ll be on the tube at some point, but since it will probably be Oprah or 60 Minutes or Geraldo I’m sure I’ll never see it.
Thanks for the clarification.
Sickening isnt it?
Well, we probably won’t be seeing him for a while. Subway probably called and told him to take a vacation.
Certain names can be negatively associated with certain places. I mean, I imagine there aren’t any stores called “Tim’s” in OKC or “Lee’s” Dallas.
so the leftist media’s poster boy for conservative violence is an “ardent atheist” who believes the U.S. government was behind 9/11? Yeah, that sounds about right.
weird but true.
His writing screams “schizophrenic,” just like the Virginia Tech killer, may his name be forgotten. Obsession, repetition, poverty of thought, and argument logical only to himself.
Why on earth do people insist on dragging in politics when a crazy person does something crazy? Their minds can latch on to any belief system, religious or political, and that insane attachment says nothing at all about whether that belief system when held by other people is good or bad, true or false.
The guy is crazy. Period.
