I kept thinking he was pursuing the perps for a day but that no longer makes much sense BECAUSE whatever happened, he was still on a mission...evidenced by his visit to Nemours asking for money to get a train to Philadelphia.
What I still don;t understand is: Why didn't he call his wife or one of his kids or a friend. He had $120 at one time. I don't care if they were half way around the world.

What if the briefcase was the target.People at his house waiting for him to come home.They found the bombs.They get tired of waiting and have someone rob him when he gets off the train.They see his blackberry in it and throw that and the bombs in the house.He knows his attackers and goes on the hunt for them.He doesn’t want anyone to know because he really needs the briefcase back.The bad guys figure just take him out because he is not going to let up.
A man with his money asking for money...Why didn't he just use his debit card or go to his bank....?
IMO his Cards/ID was taken with his briefcase.
His Mission may have been trying to get away from someone instead of going to something. Need to check in the river for his brief case!
