Candor...once a child is leagal age the laws work against parents who might want to institutionalize their children. After a womans son had shot himself and another she spoke of the lifelong fight they had in seeking help for their son, from the age of ten. It was heartwretching hearing her story of multiple trips to mental health professionals...time and again...in every area within the healthcare system, from halfway houses to institutions, seeking answers and a way to help her son.

It is not uncommon even when medicine is even slightly effective that these people cease to take it and another episode insues....even with it.

It’s a tremendous burden on the parents and family members. So I say let’s wait and see, for it appears their was intervention several times along the way.

Yes, I know that, even before they reach legal age parent's options are limited. And its thanks to the same left wing kooks now blaming 'the Right', who didn't want these wacko's institutionalized because: "They Have Rights". That's why I said, "back in the good old days." Back then, family members, like parents, along with with a doctor(s) could have an 'adult' put away for 'Observation' to start off. (insane people don't think they're crazy so they sure as 'heck' won't commit themselves to a 'Hospital'.).

So thanks to hand wringing do-gooders - and the ACLU - we have psychos walking the street and legally able to buy a gun, and now people are dead. But hell, if he didn't have a gun he could have used a friggen Hammer, a Screw Driver, or a knife to kill people. The point is - he was out in public freely walking among us.
