Perfect example of hate speech, AND a threat?? Won't this "incite" some lunatic to commit a violent crime against Governor Palin and/or her family?????
Is this something the FBI should be aware of????
I am just furious right now. Absolutely livid. If some conservative had done that "as a joke" with Obama's picture in it with a bead on HIS forehead, what would the results be??? I seriously doubt there would be much laughing going on!! >:-(
1. It's not a surveyor mark, it is a gunsight.
2. It's not a geographic area, such as a district or state that sighted, it's an individual.
But facts don't matter to liberals, just feelings, and they feel hate, outrage, and fear.

As the creators of (and buyers of this t-shirt) well know, there is a boatload of difference in putting that mark over a person’s face/head/body and over a map of a congressional district.
As a private citizen, can Sarah sue?
Another example of how the Left invariably gets away with hateful stuff, while the boobs in the news media scapegoat conservatives.
Some newer markers use equilateral triangles instead of a the "crosshairs."
I was a surveyor...
A circle or triangle with a cross is commonly used to identify a control point... Many times these control points are arbitrary and are used only as points of reference for our equipment.
In other words, these are the points the surveying equipment sets on top of or uses to dial in the equipment before surveying.
Looking down the sight of a piece of surveying equipment looks very similar to the scope of a gun. There are cross hairs and dashes...
Well after years of reading here, this post finally made me get an account and register. I just wanted to let you all know that Printfection (the company that is web-hosting this particular t-shirt) allows for general feedback in their “Contact Us” tab. I sent a polite note highlighting this particular t-shirt indicating that I found it abhorrent for anyone to try to profit on this tragedy, particularly by targeting someone in such a violent way. This t-shirt also seems to violate their User Supplied Content Policy, which bans t-shirts that are “generally offensive or inappropriate” or “designed or intended to harass, threaten, or intimidate others.”
Might be time to let them know that if they think it’s appropriate to allow their vendors to express their first amendment rights in this way, we might use our first amendment rights to publicly expose their company.
Thanks to all for the amazing information here. Off to donate now!
If this were Obama’s face instead of palins:
the secret service would have to “investigate” the persons who was responsible for producing (and possibly buying or wearing it as well) and selling it. They would be put on a “watch” list forever
This October, I’m hanging up a light-skinned black mannequin in a business suit. Calm down, liberals. It’s just a Halloween decoration.
Well, I read the posts, then had a look at the page, found the contact form, and came back here to get the link to the offending page, and POOF - it’s gone! Good work by all.
More likely, it'll incite some left-wing idiot to get his butt whupped.
With the caption, "Close enough..."
The comments that accompany it are:
"I used to work as a four-color proof maker in a digital prepress facility. These are registration marks slightly out of registration. Makes me laugh."
The SOB who created the Palin shirt deliberately used a riflescope reticle -- not a "surveyor's" or "registration" mark.
He definitely should receive (at the very least) a visit by the FBI.

As a cartographer for archaeologists, I plan to put at least one "Palin Surveyors' Mark" on every map that I publish from now on...
