Good speech that should get widespread distribution although I wonder how many people will see it compared with the loud voices on the left. It is, of course, not “mindless finger pointing” as said by Sarah Palin. She is much too kind and diplomatic. It is a concerted and coordinated effort by the left to use the tragedy for political purposes and to stop the rise of conservative strength in Congress and with voters.

Two things:

An excellent, excellent rebuttal to the hammering that she has taken in the past couple of days. I don’t know about you, but I saw something new in her face - she looked pained, and resolute. I am having a hard time imagining a more perfectly aimed salvo. I knew she would respond, and she did not disappoint.

Second, notice that this is a new medium she is using. She completely bypasses the media to take her message directly to us.

She is the past-master of the current political realm, and everyone else is just scrambling to find a spot, however small, in the shards of light surrounding the impossibly long shadow she casts on the rest of the political field.

Palin is so unerringly acute at diagnosing the condition and prescribing the cure that it is almost unfair to those whose unenviable job it is to challenge her in the grand American political arena. While I wish them all well, it is in their ultimate defeat that I hope they find succor, because she is what America needs, now more than ever.
