Science is as corrupt as everything else with motives of personal profit and power.

Not all science is politicized. Most scientists calmly go about their jobs adhering to the scientific principle, unlike conspiracy theoriests, who are under no such constraints as comparing the events in question to current conditions and historical trends.

Besides, if the scientists in question really wanted to politicize this, they would be joining in the alarmism and claiming that this indicates the need for more government controls and spending to battle whatever is causing this. The fact that they are responding in such a calm and rational manner indicates to all but the double-negative conspiracy buff that they are actually being scientific about this.

Ya'll really need to think through your claims more lucidly.

This post was simply a long list of bird and fish deaths in a short period of time with a question as to why this is happening. It is perfectly fine for the public to explore these questions and they don't have to be scientists to wonder about it and discuss it. There was a time when Europeans and Americans did not need sheepskin to conduct their own research which resulted in great scientific advancement and invention. There are plenty of people who are without degrees who are both smart and self educated today, too. I want our culture open to their independent explorations and discoveries.

Many jumped on here with claims such die offs as this happen all the time but I have not seen any documentation offering support for that claim. I know that it is not unusual for dieoffs to happen but I have never seen so many happen in such a short period of time. That might just be a data collection issue. With the internet it is possible to track this kind of incident worldwide now moreso than in the past.

The “scientific” explanation that the birds died because of fire works is laughable, as you can see from the dates of the incidents. The other explanation that they died from blunt trauma is interesting too given they fell to their deaths and blunt force trauma to the bodies is to expected but can not be used to explain their deaths. Science has yet to explain all these deaths.

Asking people to just be vacant headed and silent about life around them since they are not scientists is a pox on our society. We want people thinking, learning, discovering and asking questions throughout their lives and Americans should know that the intellectual elite don't own their creativity and brains. Welcoming and encouraging personal exploration, invention and continuing self education is one of the aspects of our National personality that has been diminished in limo liberal modern times and that is a waste.
