"we don't think it appropriate to use taxpayer resources to have state employees use work time to support for-profit, ratings-driven programming."

If he is saying that they are not permitted to call into talk radio programs, sports talk programs, radio contests, etc. during work hours, then I see nothing wrong with that. They should be doing what they're getting paid to do during those hours. If he is saying they are not allowed to do this, period, then that's another matter.

I believe he means the latter.

He chose his words very carefully. "....essentially ratings-driven, for-profit......"

The big three media liar corporations have always claimed their news operations aren't 'for-profit' or 'ratings-driven'....This, perhaps, is the biggest lie, in fact. They 'fight like mad for ratings'.....they always lose, however. But, they also have the First Imperative - propagate the Liberal Lie...which is job-one for them. And, they subsidize the expense and losses to push forward the First Imperative Agenda.....(they're counting on getting it back on the back-end).

Parties also nationalize races.

So if you like an R in another state but you are stuck with a rino, you vote for the rino in order to give that conservative R a shot.

They system breaks down when the sacrificial rinos outnumber the conservatives leaving the base with no voice.
