Is abortion a crime against the unborn or an important medical procedure that helps women control their own bodies and destines?
Americans are unlikely to agree anytime soon. But whether or not you think it's a good thing, a new study from the Guttmacher Institute suggests abortions are a common thing.
Half of all pregnancies are unintended, according to the report which studies numbers from 2008. And of those, four out of ten end in abortion.
Good, bad, or otherwise? You decide. Here are the 25 states with the highest rates of abortion, ranked by percentage, not total abortions.

The northeast takes the top honors. Of course, I figured that before I read the list.
Is abortion a crime against the unborn or an important medical procedure that helped to control their bodies and destinies?
This is a straw man; for over a decade now the real question is: While we know abortion is a crime against the unborn, is it justified as a means to help women control their bodies?
Even the most ardent supporters admit at this point that it is a child being killed; they just don’t care (really).
We are engaged in the denial of evil and the acceptance of our inhumanity.
Quite a few Red States in there. Very disappointing.
A 15 year old girl has about one in nine or an 11% lifetime risk of breast cancer. If she gets pregnant in her teens and has the baby, she reduces her risk to about 7.5% However, if she has an abortion, her risk rises to over 15%. If the abortion sterilizes her, and/or for other reasons she never has another pregnancy, her risk rises to 30%.
The Deadly After-Effect of Abortion: Breast Cancer (Hayes Publishing Co., 2008)
Margaret Sanger would be proud.
According to the New York City Dept of Health for 2009:
- 41% of all pregnancies ended in abortion
- 59.8% of Non-Hispanic black pregnancies ended in abortion
- 41.3% of Hispanic pregnancies ended in abortion
- 22.7% of Asian and non-Hispanic white pregnancies ended in abortion
Where is the outcry that abortion is racist???
60% of murdered babies in NY City Planned Parenthood abattoirs are black. This is one prime example of the final solution of racism pushed by the Democrats on their black slave voters. One of these days, intelligent blacks will wake up and tear down the rat party for their racism and extermination goals of black babies.”
It is amazing, really, how utterly exploited and oppressed the blacks are by the democrat party. Not one scintilla of insight can be seen. They are sadly hopeless.
