together we thrive - Sounds like a Kaiser Permanente commercial.
To: kristinn
Just how is the oleaginous title, “Together We Thrive,” in any way appropriate for the memorial service for people cruelly slain and wounded by a grinning homicidal maniac?
This reeks of bogus “uplift” as imagined by an inept public relations firm. Insincere is the nicest word I can think for it.
I suppose it would be too much to actually acknowledge the grief of the families and the memories of the dead with quiet dignity and compassion. Instead, we have a multicultural circus.

I’m so sick of all this- Can’t wait until it’s over and we can get back to the regular business of the country.

together we puke. How awful this is. This is almost the worse thing they have done to date. They planed this obviously who made the T shirts? A union label no doubt. I am surprised they are not purple.

Insincere is the nicest word I can think for it. Not to mention opportunistic, self-aggrandizing and disingenuous.

I guess "Together We Thrive" was less offensive than the originally proposed title "Scope and Change".

Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.

BO’s speeches are always so built up by the press and then he falls flat. He and his wife are disgusting. I’m going to a movie tonight to get away from all of this.

I truly hope Brewer leaves, saying something like, The selling of T-shirts at a memorial is in very bad taste, and Ill have no part of it, and invites all of the victims friends and families to the governors mansion.

The selling of T-shirts at a memorial is in very bad taste,As far as I know some are just being put on chairs. Maybe others are being sold. Either way, over-the-top inappropriate.

Tucson High School juniors Kiersten Jund and Melanie Hanson, both 17, had a pizza delivered to them in line. They skipped school and had been waiting in line since 10:15 a.m. for a chance to hear Obama speak. "We're probably going to learn more here than in school," Jund said. Sounds like the young women have a realistic appraisal of the value of their Tucson High School "education."

Am I mistaken in not remembering a memorial service for the victims of the Ft. Hood masacre?
Ooops, nevermind. Military deaths don't count to these lovely people.

The anticipation of Obama's "memorial" speech is equalled only by the anticipation of a State of the Union speech.
If we didn't know how sincerely sympathetic and empathetic Obama is, we might begin to think that this is just a narcisstic campaign event.
EVERYTHING he does is about HIM!...or he doesn't do it. How many times in the past has this pathetic excuse for a POTUS been a no show?
