“The lawmaker in Tennessee may not have known that the new Republican majority in New Hampshire just revoked the ban put in place about 18 months ago by, you guessed it, the Democrats. It seems that the Democratic reps were uncomfortable with a tradition going back in history that people could enter the State House carrying their firearms.”

The Minnesota legislature also allows people to carry guns in its chambers, but they have to notify the legislature in advance.

Meh... You beat me to it. That's what I get for not reading to the bottom of a thread before replying...

BTW... It isn't the Legislature that requires notification, it the State Patrol Security for the Capitol, or whoever is in charge of security in whatever government building you are visiting with your sidearm on you.
