When I was in college, I read a book that changed my life. It was Susan Brownmiller's tome, Against Our Will: Men, Women, and Rape, which explained rape as an act of power instead of just lust. What I found particularly chilling was the chapter on war -- how rape is used to terrorize a population and destroy the enemy's spirit.
While edifying, the book magnified the vulnerability I already felt as a female. Fear of rape became a constant dread, and I sought a solution that would help shield me from danger.
The answer: seek safe harbor within the Democratic Party. I even became an activist for feminist causes, including violence against women. Liberalism would protect me from the big, bad conservatives who wished me harm.

Todd is a lucky man as well. Both Sarah and he compliment each other.
As for those unhappy women who divorce looking for greener pastures. Many of them take their unhappiness with them. They never find happiness because THEY are the problem.
Being divorced, I joke about now knowing what makes a woman happy. It’s the very next thing you are going to do for them because once that’s done, a new “thing” appears that will make them happy. And on and on and on it goes, a never ending cycle.
If you haven’t read much of Robin Of Berkley before, I suggest going over to American Thinker and read her articles where she started her mea culpa of having once been a liberal. She finally saw the light and is embracing it for all it’s worth. She also has her own blog: “robinofberkley.com”.

I was going through a litany this morning as my wife and I were discussing how she provokes the left the way a porcupine provokes a pack of wild dogs. My litany went like this:
Sarah: “They MADE me the story about Tucson and smeared me with this bloodshed. That’s Blood Libel.”
the left: (shrieking)” OOh NOOOooooo! You can’t say that! That’s something only Jews can say! You’re both ignorant and disrespectful of Jews!”
Sarah: “OK. I got lynched in the press.”
the left: (shrieking) OOh NOOooooo! You can’t say that! That’s something only blacks can say! You are too dumb to know how disrespectful and painful that is to blacks!”
Sarah: “OK. I’m getting crucified here.”
the left: (shrieking) “OOh NOOOoooo! You can’t say that! You must have a messianic complex! Only The One is allowed to think that; and you’re not The One!”
Sarah: “OK. I’m being undressed and raped in the press almost every single day.”
the left: (shrieking shrilly) “OOH NOOOooo! YOu can’t say that. Only wymyn can say that. And that’s not what you are — you are a c__t!”
Sarah: “Gosh. I don’t think you lefties love me any more (wink)”.
BINGO!
Gotta get me one of those (bad grammar, but you understand ;^)

This is a brilliant article. What wonderfully astute observations. Very powerful.
With the left it's all about control and they are making an all out push for control over speech. They are losing the battle so they need to silence the opposition. Anyone who speaks out against their policies will be treated like Sarah. They are trying to make an example of her and she refuses to be raped into submission. We must not let the left tell us to shut up and take it.
One one hand, I want to say, “Congratulations!”
On the other, I want to say, “Well, duh.”

Great article, thanks for posting. As a woman living in NorCal, I can relate to a lot of the author’s experience. Not the part about having been a liberal though...
What the author has is the clarity of a mugged liberal. She knows the dark side well, and she knows its attraction for others, and she sees it clearly now, because she is ensconced in the truth.
Not a lot of need for hard science training to speak the truth out of your own experience.
